We are entrusted with advancing sustainable economic development on behalf of Snuneymuxw First Nation. PDG’s diversified portfolio spans forestry, gaming, hospitality, cannabis production and retail, tourism, transportation and logistics, business management, real estate and development, convenience and fuel retail. Today, PDG is Canada's largest Indigenous-owned hospitality and casino operator.

Grounded in Snuw'uyulth, the knowledge system passed down through generations, PDG weaves together Snuneymuxw knowledge and contemporary business to create sustainable economic opportunities. Through responsible growth and long-term stewardship, PDG supports Snuneymuxw self-determination and Nation-building by generating opportunities and resources that strengthen the Nation, benefit its members, and contribute to the wellbeing of the communities it serves and operates in.
PDG is driving economic growth across Snuneymuxw and beyond, including:
- The full ownership of the Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo, a much-needed addition to the city’s downtown hospitality sector.
- The redevelopment of the former Howard Johnson property at 1 Terminal Avenue, part of sxwayxwum Village, a site recently returned to Snuneymuxw First Nation
- The revitalization of Sealand Market into The Village at stlilnup, located beside the Departure Bay ferry terminal
- The acquisition of Casino Nanaimo, Elements Casino Victoria , River Rock Casino Resort, Chances Casino Mapleridge, and Great Canadian Casino Vancouver
- The 195 acre te'tuxwtun development will be a balanced, mixed-use development that works with the land. One that brings together housing, commerical, recreation and entertainment, creating a thriving community rooted in Snuneymuxw's relationship with its homelands.
The eagle in the centre of our PDG logo represents strength and success for our Nation. The four salmon swimming along the outer ring honour the relationship that we have with our magnificant territory. The eagle and the salmon's relationship is sacred. It is a relationship built upon trust and respect. The salmon provide for the eagle, and the eagle honours the salmon by taking only what it needs to support itself.
This is how our relationship with our territory must be, built upon mutual respect and trust. By upholding and respecting our relationships and responsibilities with the natural world, our lands will continue to support and work with us.
