Petroglyph Development Group is a wholly-owned corporation of the Snuneymuxw First Nation delegated to manage business and economic development. We work to realize the economic potential of Snuneymuxw First Nation, bringing forth our Snuneymuxw Snuw’uyulth, the teachings passed down from our Ancestors and elders, into the business realm.
On December 23, 1854, the Crown and Snuneymuxw First Nation entered in to the Douglas Treaty of 1954, through reconciliation Snuneymuxw and PDG collaborate to promote economic reconciliation moving Snuneymuxw toward self-determination. Similarly, Petroglyph Development Group focuses on capturing and absorbing economic and business priorities listed in the Corporate Strategic Plan: A Vision for Sustainable Economic Development. We are focused and keen on our mission to invest in opportunities that balance profit optimization with a view to sustainability for future generations of Snuneymuxw Mustiyuxw.
We strive to combat Snuneymuxw unemployment rates and invest in job creation and skill development so that Snuneymuxw citizens may realize their personal and professional potential. While doing so, building and sustaining wealth assists with building a strong Snuneymuxw First Nation Government and economy.
The rapid pace of economic growth experienced by PDG in a few short years display the commitment held by both the Snuneymuxw Chief and Council and PDG Board of Directors to collaborate on unleashing Snuneymuxw economic potential, and a dynamic Senior Management Team.
