te'tuxwtun
194.7 acres of Snuneymuxw First Nation land at te’tuxwtun have received the Ministerial Order confirming their new reserve status.
Located next to Vancouver Island University, these te’tuxwtun lands, at one time known as Camp Nanaimo, have supported our Snuneymuxw people since the beginning of time.
Feedback from Snuneymuxw members have shaped a plan for a ~25-acre portion of these lands, the largest development ever undertaken on Vancouver Island in modern history.
Snuneymuxw community priorities and feedback will continue to shape how we live in relationship with these sacred lands.
