    JOB SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the Board of Directors and under the general direction of the Chair of the Compliance Committee, the Director, Compliance & Surveillance (DCS)  is responsible for managing the operational aspects of the Company’s compliance and surveillance programs. This role  works closely with the Vice President, Casino Operations  and the individual casino operating departments. This position is responsible for the overall management of the Compliance and Surveillance operation for all properties, as well as planning, directing and implementing strategic plans.  The DCS ensures adherence to all regulatory and company policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Lahal’s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

    Reporting to the Executive Director, HR, (EDHR), the Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) provides administrative support to the HR team ensuring smooth operations of various HR processes and will also provide specialized support to the Vice-President, Casino Operations. Based in Victoria but supporting other locations, the ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and multitasking skills with experience in data management and reporting. The HRC plays a key role in maintaining employee records, coordinating HR-related activities, and supporting recruitment, onboarding, and engagement initiatives to help create an exceptional employee experience. The incumbent provides a range of confidential services to employees, management, and external stakeholders in a professional and empathetic manner.
