Download PDF(s)Under the direction of the F&B Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the culinary team in delivering quality food offerings. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Food and Beverage and will be an integral part of our Food and Beverage team. The main responsibilities for this role will be assisting with room set up including banquets and serving of guests.
The Successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
- Taking guests orders and making recommendations
- Serving the guests and checking to ensure satisfaction
- Informing guests of any daily specials
- Explaining how menu items and beverages are prepared
- Preparing food and beverages if applicable
- Presenting bills upon request and taking payments
- Removing empty glassware
- Covering other sections if required
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months of recent cash handling and customer service experience
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, busy environment
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must work well under pressure
- Serving It Right certificate required

Work Environment Considerations
- Regular office, restaurant or casino environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours.
- This role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to the business needs of a busy operation; will have non-traditional work hours including evening and weekend shifts.
